Retreats

Norfolk

The Norfolk retreats are for people who want to wind down and relax in a smaller, more intimate group setting. From the tranquil surrounds of her Norfolk stone home, Yoga Teacher & Breath Coach Bridget Rooth offers a maximum of four guests the chance to train their minds and bodies in the workshop, relax at the fireside, and connect over delicious, vegetarian-friendly home-cooked meals.

The Finding Space retreat

The Finding Space retreat is designed to assist each guest in their individual search for more space. Guests feeling cornered or constricted in their everyday lives may enjoy the expansiveness and freedom offered by Norfolk’s wild beaches and big skies. For others, the need for space may be more internal: space to think, reconnect or create. Others may be looking for space to shift the stress or stagnation of their day-to-day world.

The two-day program focusses on the mind, the body and the breath. Guests are supported in finding space for themselves in a holistic way that considers both mental and physical health. Drawing on her yoga and mindfulness training and her work as a breath coach, Bridget helps guests release pent-up physical tension, retrain dysfunctional breathing patterns, and quieten busy minds.

Nature plays an important role in the weekend, with outdoor breath work, self-led exercises during free time on the beach, and optional walking meditations in the morning.

Finally – but no less importantly! – there is the freshly prepared food made with the choicest local ingredients. Mealtimes provide an opportunity for communal sharing and creating deeper connections.

Bridget’s tastes and cuisine have been shaped by a life of travel, and she takes great pleasure in hosting guests around her vibrant, colourful table. All the food is vegetarian friendly and Bridget can cater to vegan guests as well.

“I loved every minute of my retreat, from long walks on beautiful wild beaches, strolls through the village, yoga and breathing sessions with Bridget, right through to the fabulous cooking. Bridget really makes you feel welcome and at home; she is fun, energetic and full of interesting stories and by being connected to nature, gardens, sea, fresh food and body movement - she helps you do the same. I left peaceful, invigorated and full of gratitude for this beautiful experience.”

“From the moment that Bridget opened the door with a beaming smile, I felt safe and in good hands.
The yoga classes were exactly what I needed and the breathing classes were new to me and I found them very useful.
The retreat is in a lovely quiet part of the country and the peace and quiet was refreshing.”
